Glass Bowl - "The Cycle Part 1." Diametre 380mm

Glass Bowl

This piece is part of a four 4 part series consisting of large kiln formed bowls. It is formed from handmade vitrigraph rods which were made in our studio. The choice of colours comes from the depiction of dry land. The series illustrates the cycle which occurs before and after rain on the land which I live. How quickly the land responds and rejuvenates after rainfall and then returns to its former self waiting for the cycle to begin again.

Diameter 380mm. Height 40mm. Width 6mm
